Reporting from Ellis Island

HW: Due Friday-EIC Icebergs, Journal 6, CNN Student News comment from 10/14

• Sit with your partner from yesterday and take out your notes
• Review your notes to make sure you have at least 1-2 observations for each of the 10 stops at Ellis Island
• Create a new Google Doc TITLE IT- ELLIS ISLAND and make sure you move it to the folder you shared with me
• Work on drafting your news story, focusing on how you are going to begin it.  Try to capture the who, what,where, when and why in the first couple sentences.  
• Focus on writing in the third person and making each of your scenes stand out
