The next few days you are going to be working on your next news story. When deciding what to write about remember:
- Find drama. Not middle school drama, but drama in the extraordinary, in the community event, or the hidden story in a story.
- Observe everything! Not just the single the event, but everything happening around it. Listen for quotes!
- Don't forget about the 5 W's
- Use the 3rd person point of views and write in a concise manner
- Make your story matter to the community
Start planning! Then start writing! You must have your topic solidified with notes by tomorrow! We will be writing and work shopping in class!
