Welcome to ELA 8 Writing!
Today we will be introducing ourselves and creating a Circle Map about writing.
Introductions:
1. Take a minute to introduce yourself to the people at your table.
2. Take turns sharing with each other something memorable you did this summer.
3. Be prepared to introduce someone at your table and share with the class their name as well as what they did this summer.
Circle Map:
1. Write the word writing in the center of a blank piece of paper. Draw a circle around it.
2. Around the circle that says, writing, write down what you know about writing (definition, process, format, different kinds, etc...) and what you want to know about writing.
3. Finally you are going to frame your Circle Map and inside the frame describe what influenced you to think this way about writing.
