Children of 9/11-Narrative Writing

HW: 9/11 notes and friendly letter
  • Collect HW -Editor in Chief, Journal 1, Socrative will close at midnight
Over the next few weeks, we'll be studying narrative writing.  Today we're going to take a look at some very short narratives written by kids whose lives in some way, have been directly impacted by 9/11.
  • Read children of 9/11 narratives
  • For each short narrative, on a piece of loose leaf, write down the author's name and 1-2 notes about their story.
When you're done reading:
  • Write a friendly letter to the person whose story stood out to you the most.  In your letter, introduce yourself, tell them why their story stood out to you, include specific details from their story, include your thoughts explaining why people need to continue to share their stories about 9/11.

I just finished my 9/11 notes and wanted to ask you if I could do the letter on the back of my notes.
