First, have your flow maps checked by a teacher (not sure what goes in your flow map? See last post). Next, you are going to take the details from your flow map and use them to create a picture book story of your updated version of Gift of the Magi. Your story must:
1. Follow the scenes you created on your flow map (there must be at least 7 scenes, but there may be more
2. Each scene should have 2-3 sentences describing the scene and will need a pictures to go with it
3. Be as realistic as possible (look at inflation chart on the board)
4. KEEP THE IRONIC TWIST AT THE END
To make your picture book:
1. Start with at least 3-4 pieces of computer paper (3 if you only have 7 scenes, 4 if you have more)
2. Fold your pieces of paper together in half like a "hamburger"
3. On the front, come up with a creative title for you story and be sure to put your name on it
4. On each page in your book you will describe the scene with a 2-3 sentence description and you will add an illustration to go along with each scene
5. You will be finished once you have put a 2-3 sentence description on each page for each scene on your flow map, with an illustration and you've double checked that you kept the ironic twist at the end of the story
