HW: ON YOUR OWN COMPLETE WBDC JOURNAL 1-2
1. Read, O. Henry's, Gift of the Magi- divide each page of the story into 4 parts, taking 1-2 notes ON YOUR OWN PAPER per section
2. Once your notes are complete, we will watch the Bert and Ernie version of GOM
3. On your own piece of paper, create a flow map of your modern day version of GOM. The time frame will be from 2000-present. Be sure to update the amount of money the couple has to spend and update the gifts they buy for each other. Your flow map must be at least 7 boxes long. They will cover:
- The opening scene describing what the girl is worried about
- What is the setting (time and place)
- What the prized possessions are
- What does the girl sell to get her husband/boyfriend/friend?
- Where does she go to do this?
- What happens when her husband/boyfriend/friend gets home? (split into 2 scenes-don't forget to add what the husband sells and what he gets the girl)
